About Kate Starling

Throughout her life, Starling has chosen occupations that place her in remote regions's as a geologist, a river guide, a forest firefighter, and as a national park ranger. All the while in each location, she painted, concerned with creating a clear sense of distance and space. Starling has appeared in many solo and invitational exhibits in the American Southwest and has received recognition for her excellence in painting outdoors on location.
