Carmel Mountain Music and Arts Festival to Honor Deputy Brian Harris
Saturday, September 11, 2010 inaugurates the inception of the first annual Carmel Mountain Music and Arts Festival taking place at the Thunderbird Golf Course in Mt. Carmel Junction, located 12 miles east of Zion National Park. Presented by Dixie State College, CEBA, the Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts and the Thunderbird Resort the festival is featuring everything from arts and crafts to a farmer’s market to live entertainment.
Highlights of the event include live dance performances by the St. George Contemporary Dancers at 1:00 and 6:00 p.m., live music at 4:00 p.m. by the Katch, and headlining the festival is the band Cold Creek at 7:00 p.m. Cold Creek, Utah’s premier bluegrass band, will present a captivating blend of traditional and progressive bluegrass, featuring original tunes, tight harmonies, incredible picking and playing, and interesting arrangements.
